In the United States, a country where many events happen and the large population means that many theories arise around certain stories, there is a surprising theory that affects a government building such as the Pentagon, which in turn is related to the idea of ordering a pizza from one of the many restaurants that offer their services to deliver it to your home.

In this way, and just as there are also conspiracy theories surrounding events such as 9/11, alien landings, or the mysterious Area 54, the Pentagon pizza theory or 'the Pentagon pizzometer' has resurfaced again after this idea went viral just 12 months ago through social networks and through which an idea resurfaces that although it seems a little far-fetched, may seem tempting to the most conspiratorial of American society.

A theory that appeared on the website The Takeout

The theory goes as follows: if all the state teams in charge of the state's defense, if the Department of Defense or all the workers who are in the Pentagon and are very busy, it means that it will be difficult for them to leave their posts to go to eat. If this is the case, it stands to reason that they will end up ordering food, and the fastest is always pizza. In this way, if deliveries of this food increase in Washington DC, that would mean that we are facing a sign of imminent crisis.

It is a theory that dates back to the Cold War and the fact that at that time, Frank Meeks, a Domino's Pizza franchisee, noticed on August 1, 1990 that there was a sudden increase in deliveries to CIA buildings. This was on the eve of Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, which was the start of the Gulf War. Something similar happened eight years later, as the same franchisee told the Los Angeles Times in 1998 during the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.

Now, in the age of social media, these peaks in pizza orders are being sought, as happened, for example, on April 13, 2024, at the White House and the Department of Defense when Iran launched drones against Israeli territory. The latest one that has been reported through the X @PenPizzaReport was experienced the week of June 1, 2025, when they published: "Less than an hour to go until closing time and the Domino's closest to the Pentagon is seeing unusually high foot traffic," and shortly afterwards, tensions between Israel and Iran escalated.
